APII: Innovators Academy ‘From Research to Innovation’ 23-24 April 2019

The Agency for the Promotion of Industry and Innovation-APII invites you to take part in its first Innovators Academy, allowing you to develop your research or technology innovation into practical and commercially viable products
The Innovators Academy is a 2-day intensive training that will help you to explore market, funding, commercialization, and business opportunities, and to develop a valid business model for your innovation.
It will focus on:

• Intellectual Property (Assessment, Rights & Protection)
• Technology development and commercialization
• Entrepreneurship process & business modeling
• Access to market and funding

Before April 16, 2019. Places are limited and only 15 projects will be selected (maximum of two members per projects will be accepted).

What is it?

The Innovators Academy is organised by the Agency for the Promotion of Industry and Innovation- APIItogether with EBAN – the European Business Angel Network and EBN Innovation Network, with the collaboration of the Confederation of Tunisian citizen enterprises – CONECT and the B@Labs, an incubation platform supported by Tunisian banking group BIAT, in the context of THE NEXT SOCIETY.
This two-day intensive workshop and training event will host Tunisian researchers looking to create a start-up from an innovative technology project, as well as MENA entrepreneurs. It is organised under THE NEXT SOCIETY, that gathers and supports entrepreneurs, investors, corporates, NGOs, innovators, research and economic development hubs from Europe and the Mediterranean countries. This initiative is backed by theEuropean Union.

For whom?

Candidate who has technology or innovation with a proof of concept that is locally developed with a high scalability potential aiming to solve specific challenges addressing:

• Artificial intelligence
• Smart city, Smart Home
• WEF (Water – Energy – Food), Cleantech
• Robotic, Cybersecurity, E-health, Blockchain

Out of all applicants, 15 will be chosen and granted access to the 2-day intensive Bootcamp (for free), led by local and international experts, for up to 2 people per team.

What Will You Get?

To make things more challenging, 2 teams will be chosen to receive:

• Tailor-made advisory sessions from APII Incubators and industry partners,
• International visibility through THE NEXT SOCIETY.
• Covered participation in Emerging valley, an international summit and networking event about innovation in Africa and Europe organised in December 2019 in Marseille
  

The INNOVATORS ACADEMY’s Program

During the 2-day intensive program, you will have the chance to:

• Receive technical and practical guidance
• Develop your own business model and commercialization plan
• Learn about intellectual property and commercialization techniques
• Develop a process for technology protection
• Learn about basic financial modeling
• Prepare your pitch to present it to investors and partners
